Our History

Life Integrity Network was founded in 2020 by Esao Otieno, a man deeply burdened by the rising threats to human life and dignity in modern society. At the time, Esao was living in Nyeri, in the central region of Kenya, when the calling to take action grew louder in his heart. What began as a quiet burden soon transformed into a life mission: to protect and uphold the sanctity of human life at all costs. With a desire to inspire a return to God’s heart for people, Esao first named the initiative “Love God Love People,” responding to the cry for compassion and dignity for all. As the burden evolved, the organization was renamed “IReach Kenya Foundation,” with a focus on tackling the devastating crisis of substance abuse. This mission was deeply personal—Esao’s extended family had felt the sting of addiction; he lost family members to drugs and alcohol, and his own paternal grandmother brewed alcohol at home. Yet by the grace of God, Esao has never used or tasted any substance of abuse, standing as a living example that one can choose a different path.

As he continued, Esao witnessed growing gender identity confusion among the youth—young people caught between cultural misinformation and global narratives—which birthed a commitment to advocate for God-given gender identity and restore dignity and clarity. The burden deepened when he encountered the silent pain of abortion and unplanned pregnancies, leading the organization to expand into pregnancy crisis care, offering hope and practical support. His own experiences in Donholm, Nairobi’s Eastlands, further shaped the vision. One evening on Savannah Road, he narrowly escaped an attempted theft by idle, jobless young men. By God’s protection he was unharmed, but the moment revealed that youth crime and unemployment were desperate cries for purpose, guidance, and opportunity—adding crime prevention and youth empowerment to the mission.

Recognizing that substance abuse, gender confusion, abortion, and youth crime were all symptoms of a deeper loss of life’s sacredness, Esao rebranded the mission as Life Integrity Network. Today, it stands as a dynamic, Christ-centred organization calling people everywhere to “Rise Up for Life.” Through advocacy, education, prevention, and compassionate outreach, Life Integrity Network is restoring dignity, hope, and purpose in Kenya—one life at a time.
